The family Alber did everything to adapt to the new challenges in hotel operations. Due to the generous amount of space in the house, they can ensure compliance with the now well-known rules of distance and behavior in the restaurant, hotel lobby and all public areas. The idyllic, small, sparsely populated mountain village of Mallnitz with its gentle tourism strategy currently enables the most relaxing and especially also the safest vacation away from large crowds.
In the middle of the breathtaking mountain scenery of the Hohe Tauern National Park, in in the mountain village Mallnitz family Alber run our hotel with their hearts for more than 100 years and they live for hospitality. They are guide, advisor and reception center by all means. They bring you closer to the mountains and at the same time help you getting away from everyday life. They are the holiday expert for your hiking or skiing holiday.
Restaurant is offering a combination of regional specialties with new culinary ideas. 1x weekly there is also a gala dinner with live-music.
Vitality spa area welcomes you with different saunas, a steam bath, a whirl pool, an infrared cabin and a range of massage, bath and beauty treatments (summer from 16:00 till 20:00 and winter from 15:00 till 20:00). Furthermore hotel offers fitness, different activities, fun & entertainment for adults and children in large activity program in summer and winter. There is also an attractive library. In the basement in the main building there is a table tennis room for funny, exciting matches with your family and friends. In summer sunbathing garden terrace invites you to relax and enjoy the beautiful view in the mountains of Mallnitz. In winter there are a lot of possibilities for skiing and other winter activities, in summer this is a paradise for all hikers.

Ferienhotel Alber is a comfortable three-star hotel with a long tradition, situated in the mountain village of Mallnitz, right in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park. It has been run with passion for over a century. The hotel offers cozy rooms in various styles (older or newer, wood-style or baroque, standard rooms or junior suites), all amidst beautiful natural surroundings. It’s a perfect escape for those wanting both activity and relaxation.

Wellness: The vitality area includes several saunas (Finnish sauna, herbal sauna), a steam bath, an infrared health cabin, a whirlpool, as well as bath and beauty treatments and massages (by appointment).

Restaurants & Bars: The hotel features its main restaurant where regional Carinthian specialties and international dishes are served, using mainly seasonal and regional products. There is also a cozy Almstube, a lobby bar, and comfortable dining rooms such as the Zirbenstube, Bauernstube and Fichtenstube.
